Soul Shards (Persistent) Soul Shards are tracked by placing D6 dice in the Active Slot. You may have a maximum of 5 Soul Shards. Any Soul Shards gained beyond this limit are discarded. After resolving the effect of a skill die, you may spend any number of Soul Shards. If you do not have enough Soul Shards to pay a cost, gain 1 Light Fatigue die for each missing Soul Shard. Soul Shards cannot be removed from the Active Slot except when they are spent. If there is no available space in the Active Slot to place a D6, you cannot gain additional Soul Shards.
